Elevating Community: The 2025 Richmond St. Jude Dream Home

The Richmond St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is more than just a chance to win a beautiful house—it's a powerful community-driven effort to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 2025, Marble Moon Interiors led the design in its entirety, reaching new heights. Our collaboration infused the Dream Home with purpose, personality, and a deep commitment to social impact.

Located at 9119 Terroir Lane in New Kent County, the 2025 Dream Home was built by StyleCraft Homes and is valued at $735,000 - but is easily worth over $1M. The three-story residence features 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, offering spacious living areas designed for comfort and style. Every $100 raffle ticket sold contributed to our goal of raising $1,450,000 in support of the mission of St. Jude, ensuring that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

When you walk through the doors of the Greater Richmond St. Jude Dream Home, you’re immediately struck by the textures, colors, and flow of each space and how intentional they feel. But look a little closer, and you'll notice something more powerful: the presence of local art. Paintings, textiles, ceramics, stained glass, and sculptures by Richmond area artists breathe life into the home, grounding it in the culture and creativity of the community it supports.

Beyond beautiful finishes and smart floorplans, what makes a house truly memorable is how it connects emotionally with the people who experience it. Art does that. And when that art is made by members of the local community, it creates a profound sense of place.

Featuring local artists isn't just about decoration—it's about storytelling. These pieces carry the voices, perspectives, and lived experiences of the region. They reflect the cultural richness, from abstract expressions of the James River to bold abstract portraits of musicians including Virginia native Pharell Williams. In the St. Jude Dream Home, these stories are shared with every visitor and raffle ticket holder.

Supporting Local Artists = Supporting Local Economies

Including local art in a high-profile project like the Dream Home isn't just beneficial for aesthetics—it's an economic statement. By investing in regional creatives, the home becomes a platform for visibility and growth. It’s a chance for artists to gain recognition, connect with new collectors, and earn income that helps sustain their work.

This aligns perfectly with the mission of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway: community members coming together to support something bigger than themselves. While ticket proceeds fund lifesaving treatment and research for children battling cancer, the home itself becomes a beacon of what collective care and local impact can look like. By partnering with St. Jude, we had the opportunity to contribute to a cause that resonates with our core values.

With a community-centered and socially conscious approach to design, my goal for this home was to ensure that every element—including the artwork—felt purposeful, rooted, and human.

From hand-thrown ceramic vessels to vibrant textile art and expressive canvases, the local artists featured in the Dream Home are not background pieces—they’re central to the emotional rhythm of each room. And because Marble Moon Interiors took the time to select, collaborate with, and celebrate these creators, the Dream Home resonates on a deeper level. Featured artists include Ashley White, Cameron Wilson Ritcher, Caroline Murphy, Diane Nahan Fairburn, Emily Dickey, Franchell Mack Brown, Karen Palmer, and Ron Stokes.

Inspiring Visitors and Future Homeowners

One of the most exciting outcomes of featuring local art in the Dream Home is the spark it ignites in visitors. Seeing original, accessible artwork in a residential setting encourages people to think differently about the spaces they inhabit. It shows that art isn’t just for galleries—it’s for everyday life.

It also invites new homeowners to imagine their own connection to the creative community. By purchasing from local artists, they can begin building a meaningful collection that supports others and reflects their own values. Including local art isn’t just a design choice—it’s a value statement. It says, “We care about this place, these people, and the creative voices who shape it.” It’s a reminder that beauty, meaning, and community are deeply intertwined—and that a home isn’t truly a dream unless it uplifts others in the process.
